Julia Markovich, MSW, LCSW, Founder/Director
(she/her/hers)
Julia Markovich is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with adults and college students struggling with anxiety, ocd, and stress-related concerns through her virtual therapy practice throughout North Carolina.
She holds a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University and brings both clinical expertise and genuine care to her work with clients.
Julia primarily uses Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety-related disorders. In therapy, she works collaboratively with clients to gently and intentionally face feared thoughts, sensations, or situations while reducing compulsive or avoidant behaviors.
Sessions are structured but flexible, and always tailored to YOU—with a focus on helping clients experience real, meaningful change.
Her approach is holistic and integrative, recognizing that anxiety doesn’t exist in isolation.
She thoughtfully selects interventions that support resilience, flexibility, and long-term growth—not just symptom relief.
Julia has advanced training in ERP, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic and mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed care, attachment-based work, and motivational interviewing.
Above all, Julia wants you to have a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported. She welcomes LGBTQ+ clients and is
passionate about helping people build practical skills, insight, and confidence so they can live fuller, more engaged lives.
